Max Pescatori Likes Trip Kings

On one of the last hands during Stud High, the Italian Pirate Max Pescatori won a pot against Dan Shak.

Shak: {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Max: {J-Spades}{K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

Max turned over {K-Hearts} for trip kings and that was good enough to beat Shak's three pairs... aces, nines, and eights. Pescatori increased his stack to 260K while Shak slipped to 90K.

Violette Gets Aggressive

When we caught up on seventh street, Cyndy Violette was showing
(X)(X){8-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}(X). She had just bet 12K and her opponent Bill Edler, who showed (X)(X){A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}(X), took his time before making the call. He eventually did and Cyndy revealed ({Q-Spades})({Q-Clubs}){8-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}({4-Clubs}). Edler mucked and Violette is now working with 225K in chips.
