On one of the last hands during Stud High, the Italian Pirate Max Pescatori won a pot against Dan Shak.

Max turned over for trip kings and that was good enough to beat Shak's three pairs... aces, nines, and eights. Pescatori increased his stack to 260K while Shak slipped to 90K.
Noah Jefferson, who bet his hand all the way to the river, showed a lone pair of aces. Greg Mascio, who started with split kings and picked up a straight draw to go with it, failed to improve and Jefferson took down a good-sized pot.
Laak was all in by third street. He caught a pair of aces on fourth street, but Allen Cunningham won the pot when he picked up two pair on fifth street. Laak headed to the rail. Cunningham's stack increased to 370K.
When we caught up on seventh street, Cyndy Violette was showing
(X)(X)(X). She had just bet 12K and her opponent Bill Edler, who showed (X)(X)(X), took his time before making the call. He eventually did and Cyndy revealed ()()(). Edler mucked and Violette is now working with 225K in chips.
The spectators are lined up two and three deep in some spots to catch a glimpse of this event and its elite players. Most of the onlookers are your typical everyday poker fans. The folks who will take home their stories about seeing Chip and Doyle and "The Mouth" back to their home games across the world. The interest in this event doesn't stop there however. Poker veteran and commentator Mike Sexton has been keeping an eye on this tournament for quite some time, as has young gun Nick Shulman. One thing's for certain...with three days left, the show isn't stopping anytime soon.
