Hellmuth Takes a Hit

In one of the final hands of Omaha 8/b, Phil Hellmuth raised from middle position. Patrick Pezzin re-raised from the small blind, and Hellmuth called. The flop came {10-Diamonds}

. Pezzin bet, Hellmuth raised, and Pezzin called. The turn brought the {8-Spades}

. Both players checked. The river {2-Diamonds}

had Pezzin betting the last of his chips. Hellmuth made the call. Pezzin showed {K-Hearts}

. Hellmuth mucks and is left with 115K. Pezzin is now working with 270K.

Dewey Tomko Triples Up

On a flop of {9-Spades}

, Dewey Tomko moved all in. Daniel Negreanu and Justin Bonomo called. The turn was the {K-Diamonds}

and Bonomo check-called a bet from Negreanu. The river was the {K-Clubs}

. Bonomo check-folded to Negreanu's bet. Negreanu won the side pot. He showed {Q-Hearts}

for two pair, Kings and Queens, but Dewey flipped over {A-Hearts}

for a bigger two pair and a low. Dewey tripled up.

Little Action, But Lots of Singing

During the first few hands of the feature table, there has not been too much going on poker-wise. However, Mike Matusow is chatting up the table and even started singing in unison with Daniel Negreanu.

Ironically, Justin Bonomo, Max Pescatori, and Amnon Filippi are all listening to their iPods and have their heads phone on. They have been ignoring the incessant banter and singing from Matusow.
