Jamie Gold raises to 2,200 in late position and Sabyl Cohen calls in the small blind. Matt Sterling calls in the big blind. On the flop and turn, they all check. On the river, Cohen bets 3,000 and Sterling folds. Gold raises to 12,000. Cohen announces all in and Gold leans back, looking exasperated. He asks for a count -- about 5,075 more. Gold folds. "Guess you can beat a pair, huh?" he says. Cohen seems to indicate she could. She's at 42,000.

Matusow Takes a Hit

After being near the top of the leader board most of the day, Mike "The Mouth" Matusow has fallen down to 56,000 after one big hand.

Berry Johnston made it 2,200 to go, preflop, and Matusow made the call.

Flop: {K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Matusow led out on the flop for 3,600 and Johnston made it 10,000 more. Matusow called and the turn was the {5-Hearts}. Matusow checked and Johnston moved all in, causing Matusow to fold.

Joe Awada raises to 2,000 in middle position and seat 1 calls in the big blind after studying Awada for a bit. On the flop, the opponent checks and Awada bets 9,800 all in. The opponent calls and shows {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} to Awada's {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}.

The board finishes out and seat 1 says, "That's unfortunate."
Awada: "I was just hoping you didn't have a spade." He's at 26,600.

Wahlroos at it Again

Preflop and in middle position, Thomas Wahlroos made it 2,800 to go. Another player came over the top for an additional 6,000 and Wahlroos moved all in. His opponent called and turned over pocket jacks while Wahlroos showed A-Q. Wahlroos missed the flop but hit a queen on the turn. The river paired the board and Wahlroos doubled up.
