Billy Spadea Rivers a Full House Against Scott Freeman for 4.2 Million

At the Featured Table, Scott Freeman raises from early position to 220,000, and Spadea calls from the small blind. The flop comes {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, Spadea bets 300,000, Freeman raises to 800,000, and Spadea thinks for about 30 seconds before he calls.

The turn card is the {A-Spades}, and both players check. The river card is the {4-Clubs}, Spadea bets 1,000,000, and Freeman thinks for about 30 seconds before he calls. Spadea shows {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a rivered full house, fours full of fives, and Freeman mucks. Billy Spadea wins the pot worth 4.2 million.

"Clock on Table 3!"

Bill Edler raised to 250,000 from late position, John Armbrust called from the cutoff, Roy Winson raised to 900,000 from the small blind, Edler folded, and Armbrust moved all in for 5.3 million.

Winston went into the tank for so long the clock was called on him, but he eventually mucked his hand. One of Winston's friends on the rail was so incensed that the clock was called that he muttered something nasty to the table and stormed off.

After the hand, Winston was down to 3.2 million while Armbrust crossed the 7 million mark.

Billy Spadea vs. Philip Hilm

Billy Spadea
Billy Spadea
At the Featured Table, Philip Hilm limps from the small blind for 80,000, and Billy Spadea checks his option. The flop comes {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, and there is a surprisingly subdued reaction from the crowd. (Final table crowds usually ooh and aah at flops like this.) Hilm bets 110,000, and Spadea calls.

The turn card is the {4-Clubs}, and both players check. The river card is the {3-Hearts}, Hilm checks, Spadea bets 200,000, and Hilm calls.

Spadea shows {6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a full house, tens full of threes, and Hilm mucks. Billy Spadea wins the pot.

Stefan Mattsson Drops Two Hands In a Row

Stefan Mattsson
Stefan Mattsson
On the first, Jerry Yang limped and then called when Mattsson raised to 310,000 from the cutoff. Both players checked after the {4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop and the {8-Spades} on the turn, but when the {J-Hearts} fell on the river Yang bet 300,000. Mattsson called, then mucked when Yang turned over {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a set. Yang improved to 3.7 million while Mattsson slipped to 1.8 million.

On the very next hand Mattsson raised to 225,000 from late position and John Armbrust called on the button. The flop came {4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Armbrust called Mattsson's 340,000 bet. The two checked after the {J-Hearts} on the turn and {3-Clubs} on the river, and this time Mattsson couldn't beat Armbrust's {K-Spades}{10-Spades}. His stack was thus reduced to 1.2 million while Armbrust is up to 5.3 million.

After the hand, Farry was up to 3 million while Elson was down to 2.7 million.
