"What am I supposed to do?"

T.J. Cloutier raises to 1,000 in middle position and everyone folds. "Your nines aren't worth a thousand," a player says.
"They're not?" Cloutier says, showing his two nines.
"Why are you raising with that?" another player says.
"What am I supposed to do, let you see a free flop?" says Cloutier.

The Proof is Not in the Cards?

A player who bet 800 folds to Negreanu's 2500 raise on a {Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} board. He says Negreanu has 5-6 for the straight. Negreanu insists that he has Q-J. After a bit of back and forth, with Negreanu still holding on to his cards, Negreanu shows the Q-J. The player still won't let it go.

Negreanu: "I show you the Q-J, and you still don't believe me?"
