We're getting closer to determining our Final Table and our short stacks are running out of second chances. Anoput Phimmasone was crippled in that big hand with Bryan Devonshire and wasn't able to recover, finishing just now in 14th place. And Tad Jurgens was also forced to commit the last of his chips and mucked his cards as he finished 13th.
The game has fallen into a period of stasis where no one can land a decisive blow. But Bryan Devonshire has won a number of pots, including a big one where Anoput Phimmasone thought a good long time before abandoning his hand on the turn, and he's built his stack up to 286,000.
Following up on the hand with Jordan Morgan, Jared Davis ran into a pair of Aces held by Randy Kling, and after dropping that pot Davis was left with two solitary 1,000 chips.
"A chip and a chair" is a nice maxim, but Davis wasn't able to survive the very next hand and was eliminated in 16th place.
Jordan Morgan flopped a straight on the flop and neither Reza Payvar or Jared Davis was able to catch up. There was no qualifying low and Payvar was eliminated in 17th place, while Davis' stack was badly damaged.
