Chorny Churns Out the Win

On the button, Glen Chorny raised to 1,225 and the small blind reraised to 3,150. Chorny three-bet it to 17,850 all in and the small blind called. Chorny turned over {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} to the small blind's {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. The board ran out {4-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Chorny busted his opponent.

Khaaaan!

Rain Khan
Rain Khan
Hevad "Rain" Khan got it all in preflop with {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} versus the {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} of his opponent. The flop came {3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

"That is brutal," Khan said. His opponent punched his fist in the air.

"No -- I see the K is coming," said Khan. Unfortunately, the turn and river were {2-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Khan was eliminated.

"It's Winner Take All, Kid"

It's first or go home here at Event No. 11, the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Shootout.

Preflop, Chris Vaughn bet 850, and Phil Hellmuth reraised behind him to 2,250. As Vaughn thought about what to do, Hellmuth made a little speech:

"It's winner take all, kid," he began. "You raise every pot, so of course I come over the top with nothing."

Vaughn folded.

Adams Can't Beat Queen-High

An early-position player limped in and Jordan Morgan called in the small blind. Brandon Adams checked. The flop was {K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}. Morgan checked and Adams checked. The early position bet 400 and Morgan folded. Adams bumped it to 1,400. The turn was {8-Spades} and both checked. The river was {6-Diamonds} and both checked again.

The EP player said, "You win."
Adams replied: "If you say so," with a laugh.
EP turned over Q high for a busted flush draw.
Adams mucked.

Adams was eliminated a few hands later.
