John Phan came into play today with a short stack and he didn't get the early double-up he was looking for. Yury Shapiro raised to 4,500 and Phan moved all in from the big blind for his last 13,000. Shapiro made the call and his {A-Spades}

led Phan's {K-Clubs}

. Both players hit a pair on the {2-Diamonds}

flop, but the board ran out {9-Hearts}

and Phan was eliminated.
