Ralph Perry In Trouble

Ralph Perry is now on life support after losing another pot, this time against Archie "The Greek" Karas.

Karas was the aggressor on 4th, 5th and 6th streets with Perry calling, until both players checked the river.

Perry showed {5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} but mucked his down cards as Karas flipped ({Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{A-Clubs}) {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for aces and queens.

Perry is down to only 4,000 in chips, while Karas is well-placed on about 55,000.

Ly Sails against Perry

Minh Ly has taken down a nice pot off Ralph Perry. Perry led the betting until the river, showing {10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Ly called and then fired on the river, which Perry called.

Ly showed ({7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{7-Spades}) {7-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a full boat to jump to 83,000 chips, leaving Perry under pressure with about 19,000.

No Free Food?

Just before the break we overheard David Oppenheim speaking with a tournament director about getting a food voucher.

"We don't get free food for making Day 2? We paid $10,000 to enter this event and we can't get a $10 voucher?" questioned Oppenheim.

Scotty Nguyen and Steve Zolotow joined in the conversation, with Zolotow remarking, "You just gotta ration it out over three days - spend $3.33 per day!"

"You can do that?" question Nguyen

"Of course!" laughed Zolotow, as the three players headed off to the poker kitchen to enjoy their break.

Tony "G" Picks Up Some Chips

Tony "G" Guoga just picked up a nice three-way pot. On sixth street, showing a board of {J-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {J-Spades}, Gouga made a bet into both Dario Alioto and Larry Kanter. Both players immediately mucked their hands.

After the hand Tony "G" is up to around 35,000 in chips.
