After calling a 850 raise from the cutoff, Kathy Liebert and an opponent saw a flop. The original raiser bet 1,700 and Liebert raised to 4400. She got the call and both players checked the on the turn. When the fell on the river, the other player check-called Liebert's 6,000 bet. Liebert turned over for the turned set and took down a pot that boosted her stack to 24,750.
T.J. Cloutier was eliminated after moving all in on a seven-high flop. His opponent called with pocket aces, which held up against Cloutier's A-7, and eliminated Cloutier from the event.
On a board of Michiel Brummelhuis led out for 30,000. His only opponent in the hand moved all in for 60,000 and Brummelhuis called. Brummelhuis showed pocket nines for a set and was up against his opponent's . After the hand, Brummelhuis is up over 120,000.
Over the course of three rapid-fire hands Mario Silvestri availed himself of Phil Laak's chips. A 4,500 reraise after Laak opened the pot was the first cut, in the next hand Laak called a Silvestri reraise only to lay it down after Mario bet 2,000, and on the last hand Laak moved in for his last 1,050 and as Silvestri thought it over Laak said, "C'mon, you played every hand with me, you gotta at least call."
Silvestri did call and his pocket sevens help up against Laak's to take the pot and eliminate Laak.
Little knocked out another player and picked up a pile of chips when he had aces against an opponent's A-K and all the money went in before the flop. Little now has 56,000.
Mark Newhouse raised preflop to 1,200 and was called by a player on the button and Liz Lieu from early position. The flop came and Liz Lieu moved all in after the button checked. Newhouse called and showed pocket queens while Lieu turned over . Lieu failed to improve and was elimianted while Newhouse is up to 30,000 after the hand.
Eric 'Rizen' Lynch was all in preflop with pocket aces against his opponent's pocket kings. The aces held up for Rizen who is up to 37,000 after the hand.
Alex Jacob, who's chipstack had dwindled earlier in the day, has managed to climb back out from under 10,000 chips and has amassed a nice stack of 45,000.
Most recently Jacob was seen eliminating a player when his pocket aces held up against a flopped open-ended straight draw.
