Eric Baldwin Wins a Big Pot from Steve Brecher

This hand happened just before the bubble. Under the gun Eric Baldwin raised to 7,500 and Steve Brecher called in the big blind. The flop came {8-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {10-Clubs} and Brecher check-called Baldwin's 5,200 bet. The {8-Clubs} fell on the turn, Brecher again checked, and when Baldwin bet 13,500 Brecher check-raised to 40,000. Baldwin called, and when the {4-Clubs} hit on the river Baldwin moved all in. Brecher thought a good while before releasing his hand, and losing that pot left him with 48,000. Baldwin is now up to 148,000.

The Bubble Has Burst

After several minutes of hand-for-hand action, we have finally reached the money.

Aaron Coulthard made it 8,000 to go preflop and Humberto Kim moved all in. Coulthard made the call and showed {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}, while Kim showed {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades}. Kim appeared to be in great shape, especially after flopping a king. But when the board ran runner-runner 10-J, it gave Coulthard a straight to eliminate Kim on the bubble.

Another Double-up

Preflop, Adam Levy made it 8,500 to go from the cutoff and was called by Sam El Sayed. The flop came {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades} {9-Clubs} and El Sayed checked while Levy fired 13,000 in the pot. El Sayed check-raised all in and after going into the tank for awhile, Levy made the call. Levy showed pocket aces and was up against El Sayed's {J-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}. El Sayed had middle pair and was open ended, but the board ran {Q-Diamonds} on the turn and {9-Spades} on the river to give both players two pair, with Levy's aces leading the way. After the hand, Levy is up to 160,000.

Still Hand-for-Hand

Things have slowed down tremendously here with no players being eliminated during the hand-for-hand segment. We're still awaiting the bubble to burst and will bring you the hand as soon as it takes place. For now it's just a lot of raise-and-fold going on.
