Adams Outlasts Patel

Emil Patel
Emil Patel
Poker pro Brandon Adams has just defeated DeucesCracked poker coach Emil Patel and will now face the winner of Roman Paradiso v. Kenny Tran in the 'elite eight.'

The hand saw Patel open the pot with a min-raise and Adams called. The flop came {3-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {7-Spades} and both players checked.

The turn brought the {5-Spades} and Adams passed the first action to Patel who fired a 12,000 bullet. Adams then check-raised to 32,000 and Patel made the call.

The last card off the deck was the {J-Clubs} and Brandon led out with a 50,000 bet. Patel responded by moving all in over the top and Adams made the call, tabling {8-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} which was good for the nut straight. Patel showed {A-Spades} {6-Clubs} for a second best seven-high straight and was thus eliminated from the tournament.
