John Turner just played a big hand against Barry Greenstein. The players showed:
Turner: (X) (X)
Greenstein: (X) (X)
With the exception of fifth street, where Turner check-raised, he bet every street and Greenstein called. On sixth street, Greenstein gave up his hand and Turner took the pot and showed () () .
It's too early to be making any predictions, but this is Tom Schneider's fifth cash already in the year's WSOP. If Schneider goes deep in a few more events or wins a bracelet, he may be a lock for the unprecedented honor of back-to-back Player of the Year awards.
Dale Pinchot is our bubble boy. Eliminated in 49th place, Pinchot's exit was courtesy of Barry Greenstein. Pinchot commented that Greenstein had to go runner-runner-runner to beat him, and apparently Barry did just that.
While play is hand for hand, our tournament field reporters have been asked to leave the tournament area. Needless to say, this makes reporting difficult if not impossible. Live updates should resume very soon. Please stay with us...
