Amir Vahedi Doubles Up

Amir Vahedi
Amir Vahedi
Amir Vahedi moved all in and received a call. He held {5-Hearts} {5-Clubs} against his opponent's {A-?} {Q-?}. His opponent hit two pair when the flop came {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} , but the {5-Spades} on the turn gave Vahedi a set. The {4-Hearts} gave Vahedi the hand and allowed him to move up to around 40,000.

Directly after the hand, Vahedi took another pot and now sits at 63,000 in chips.

Levi Picks Up Some Chips

Nicolas Levi moved all in on the turn with the board showing {10-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {3-Spades} {10-Hearts}. A player in the small blind called. Levi had the player covered. Levi showed {J-Hearts} {10-Spades} for trips, while his opponent showed {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}. The river fell a harmless {7-Clubs} eliminated Levi's opponent and moved him up to around 35,000 in chips.

Dunst Finds Ace From Space

On a flop of {Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} Tony "Bond18" Dunst and his opponent Dan Harmetz were involved in a raising war. Dunst reraised Harmetz's opening bet, before Harmetz raised it up once again. Dunst then moved all in over the top and wasn't happy when Harmetz called.

Dunst only held an ambitious {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and was in bad shape against the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} of Harmetz. However an ace from space landed with the {A-Clubs} on the turn and {9-Clubs} on the river sending the huge pot to Dunst. He now sits with over 40,000 chips.

Set Over Set = Chop

Two players found their chips in the middle on a flop of J-10-8. One player held pocket eights but would need a miracle against his opponent's pocket tens.

Turn 7. River 9.

Both players play the straight on the board! Chop it up!

Minh Nguyen Doubles Up Twice

Minh Nguyen has double up twice recently to get back up to around 10,000 in chips. First, he went all in after only looking at one card, which was clearly an ace. When the cards were shown he held {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} against {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} of his opponent. An {A-Spades} on the turn sealed the hand and allowed him to double up to 5,200.

A couple of hands later, Nguyen doubled up again. With a board showing {2-?} {9-?} {3-?} {4-?} on the turn, Nguyen went all in and was called. Nguyen showed {A-?} {5-?} for a wheel and his opponent showed {9-?} {9-?} for a set of nines. The board did not pair and Nguyen moved up to around 10,000 in chips.

Table of Heavyweights

In an interesting twist Jimmy Fricke has just been moved to the table of John Phan and Matt Vengrin, which puts the three biggest stacks in our chip counts on the very same table!

Fricke holds the lead with 112,000 with Phan on 79,000 and Vengrin on 77,000.

Maybe we'll see a massive pot on this table very soon, but they will have to be quick - this table is scheduled as the next table to break!
