Lisandro Suffering From Agita

Mama Mia!
Mama Mia!
It would appear as though resident Tony Soprano lookalike Jeff Lisandro is frustrated at not getting the action he so desperately wants, his latest preflop raise seeing him snap up the blinds uncontested.

"I can't make it any cheaper than that!" he begs. "I don't know what else to do."

Jeff remains around the 5k mark.

Hershier Than Thou

Currently (and most likely for the rest of the tournament) OUT -

Humberto "HUUUMMBBEEEEEEERRRRRTTOOO!!!!!!" Brenes knocked himself down a chip and a chair running K-J into an opponent's aces - then next hand he shoved his last 100 in blind, and discovered that he was against pocket queens - his K-2 couldn't compete and he's gone.

Eric Hershier, all in for his last 2,400 on the turn of an eventual {9-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {9-Hearts} {8-Clubs} board with jacks, was horrified to see his opponent turn over {10-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} for trips, and he is therefore OUT.

The Snoopy Charm

Sadly for me, heartthrob Jennifer Tilly has moved table over to the other side of the room, and is no longer in view. However, I still feel that she has a space in her heart for your intrepid reporter, so I will be looking to catch up with her later on where I shall be pulling out all the stops and even giving her a dose of the trusted snoopy charm. I'll let you know how I get on, but whatever you do, don't tell Phil!

In more poker related news, Tilly is still running well with circa 12,000 in chips.

Heading For the Exit, or the Bar in Raymer's Case, Perhaps

Eric Cloutier is OUT, all in on the turn of a {10-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} board with {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} against the unfortunate might of Chris Nelson's {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} .

-----

Also OUT is Shannon Shorr, all in preflop with a dominating pair of Kings against his opponent's A-K, but the fateful Ace came on the turn and sent Shorr out to sea. Or similar. Anyway, he's busted.

-----

Mr Greg Raymer is OUT as well - he made it 525 from mid position and the big blind made it 1250; Greg called all in and must have been most upset to see that his K-10 was dominated by his opponent's A-K. No surprising turns of event, and Raymer's gone.

Incidentally, his old seat is now being occupied by Snoopy's favourite, one Kristy Gazes.

------

And another OUT-age - Mr Erik Seidel, all in preflop with A-10 against pocket kings; no ace and he Seidels quietly away.

The Tilly & the Ivey

Sir Ivey
Sir Ivey
It would appear as though Jennifer is out of Phil's Ivey league, as she has just eliminated the poker superstar from this year's $1,500 Pot Limit Freezeout. We only caught the very end of the hand, but all the chips flew in on the turn of a 5-A-2-x board, with Jennifer's pocket fives leaving Phil's A-T drawing dead and looking for the nearest exit.

Believe it or not, this is an earlier photo. Phil isn't quite as happy now, the words bulldog and wasp possibly more applicable.

French Kiss

"M*rd!"
"M*rd!"
Unfortunately it was the kiss of death, as Fabrice Soulier's lifespan in this event has come to a sudden end. All in with Q-J on a jack high flop, Fabrice found himself in the stickiest of situations against his opponent's pocket queens. An unhelpful turn and river later and he was gone.

Ambrose-ia Continued

Steve Paul-Ambrose has eliminated a player we don't recognize with {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} against said unknown's {7-Clubs} {7-Hearts} , an ace on the flop sealing young Mr Unknown's fate. Paul-Ambrose up to 11,000. Actually, update - he's picked up a few pots since and is now on 13,000.

Who The Devil Is He?

Phil applauds the Fish's arrival
Phil applauds the Fish's arrival
Not since Cliff Richard started wiggling those hips has there been this much excitement, as the former bracelet winner Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott is in the house! But don't worry, he's left his guitar at home, and won't be charming if us with any renditions of 'Heartbreak Hotel' or 'Suspicious Minds', instead using his vocal chords to chat with recent arrival Phil Ivey who has just moved to Jennifer Tilly's left.

Also seated on that table, is the highly talented Praz Bansi, a formidable member of the UK's Hit Squad clan. Praz rose to fame over in the UK when he won a bracelet in last year's Series, and has since gone on to win a number of events in his homeland including the inaugural event of the GUKPT Tour.
