Amir Vahedi has doubled up to 5,300, finding himself all in with and in excellent shape against his opponent's on a flop. He rivered the full house with another Ten, for good measure.
-----
UPDATE - in the time it took me to write that, Mr Vahedi has managed to slip back down to just 1,000 in circumstances unknown. Oops.
Kevin O'Donnell doesn't seem to be a ladies' man, as they just slapped him firmly in the face and knocked him down to what is admittedly still a hugely healthy 9,000 stack.
After his preflop raise to 250 was called by the cutoff, Kevin's subsequent 475 and 1,125 bets on the flop and turn of a board were duly called, before both players checked down the river. "Nice hand," confessed a sporting Kevin as he was holding pocket queens.
Scott Clements made it 150 from the cutoff, only for Dan Alspach, resplendent in bright blue whale-themed shirt and visor, to make it 450 from the button.
Clements checked the flop, and then folded to Alspach's 650 bet.
Clements is now down to 2200; Alspach is up to 3650.
Doug Lee, whose stack is yoyo-ing up and down like a kangaroo on a trampoline is back down to 4,000 after betting 2,700 on a board. The small blind called all in with and survived the harmless river against Doug's .
Haxton made it 150 from the cutoff and an unknown gent in the small blind called.
Haxton bet 250 on the J-7-3, two heart flop, and the small blind check-raised to 750. Haxton re-raises the pot and the small blind goes all in for just 525 more. Haxton calls, obviously, and is probably pleased to see that his A-K is good - but his opponent is holding and another heart on the turn sends Haxton to the rail.
Also OUT is John Cernuto - his opponent rivered a flush and showed it; Cernuto just mucked and made his exit.
A late arrival to today's event is a tantastic Layne Flack, fresh off a week on the golf course in Hawaii and consequently boasting the most impressive of tans that any pale-faced Brit would be envious of. "I just can't pull myself off the golf course," confessed 'Back to Back' Flack.
Moments later he turned to his neighbour and asked, "What's the game?"
Lee Watkinson makes it 150 utg. A gentleman in middle position calls; JC Tran in mid to late position calls too, as does the unknown gentleman in the cutoff.
The flop is and it checks around to Tran who bets 500; the cutoff calls.
They both check the turn, and then it all goes crazy on the river - Tran bets 1500, but lays it down when the cutoff goes all in for a total 4900.
Tran must have had a pretty good run of it until that hand, though, as he's now on 3300.
Poker legend Dewey Tomko is now on 7,000 after triumphing in a meatalicious three-way pot. All the chips flew in on a flop with Dewey's bullets shooting down his opponents' inferior and . Judging by Dewey's respectful reputation, we're going to need Tony Atlas with a crowbar to prise those chips off him.
Certainly not this year anyhow, as Jimmy Tran has just been eliminated from this $1,500 Pot Limit Freezeout. After limp-calling a 175 preflop raise, Jimmy raised his opponent's 400 bet on an flop with before calling for a total of 4,400. Up against , Tran's ace failed to stand up when the turn brought the , followed by an academic river.
