Eric Lucas
As the title implies, Eric Lucas has been eliminated by Justin Filtz, the latter leaping into second place with an impressive 225,000 in chips.
In a battle of the blinds encounter, Filtz check-raised Lucas's 6,000 bet to 40,000 on a flop only for Lucas to repop all in for a total of 75,000. Filtz made the call.
Dario Minieri and Max Pescatori are seated on adjacent tables, more or less back to back, and are taking every opportunity to stand together in between hands, giggling and chatting away in their native tongue.
Gabe Costner is no more. Holding , he thought it was his lucky day when he hit his jack on the board. Leo Fernandez checked to him and he bet 12,000 from the cutoff -- but Fernandez raised him all in, and Costner called.
The jack wasn't as good for Costner as he thought it was -- Fernandez turned over for the flush, and Costner was drawing dead before the river.
Russ Floyd is out. He got his chips in preflop with a classic under the gun against the equally classic of Scott Zakheim immediately to his left -- Floyd raised, Zakheim reraised all in, and Floyd called all in so they were on their backs.
