Kotler Takes One from Grizzle

Sam Grizzle started the day on the wrong end of a big pot. He called the bets of Jeremy Kottler on every street through fifth street. On sixth street, Grizzle's board showed x-x / {6-Diamonds}

against Kottler's x-x / {K-Spades}

. With first action, he elected to bet, and Kottler called. Grizzle checked the river dark. When Kottler bet, Grizzle squeezed his river card, raised his eyebrows and folded.

After the hand, Grizzle slipped to 20,500 chips while Kottler climbed to 16,000.

Barbara Lewis Out

Barbara Lewis was just eliminated by Richard Venturella. Lewis got all her chips in with X-X / {K-Hearts}

. Venturella was showing X-X / {J-Clubs}

. Lewis got the {3-Diamonds}

on 4th street and Venturella the {J-Diamonds}

. The hands were turned and Venturella was already filled up with {2-Spades}

in the hole. Lewis was drawing dead and left the Brasilia room.

On two consecutive hands Phyllis Meyers and Danny Kalpakis beat Mueller to send him packing.
