Craig Douglas Doubles Through Craig Coglan

Douglas raised to 30,000 under the gun and Coghlan called from the big blind. The flop came {10-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}, Coghlan checked and Douglas bet 50,000. Coghlan moved all in, and Douglas chose to call with {A-Spades} {K-Hearts}. He'd been outflopped by Coghlan's {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts}, but after the {8-Hearts} turned Douglas caught the {K-Diamonds} on the river to take the pot and double to 390,000. That king on the river left Coghlan with just 170,000.

Play Tightens

As you may have guessed, play has tightened considerablly since moving to the final three tables. Players are certainly interested in reaching the final table and are not willing to make big risks at this stage.

We'll continue to post as much action here as we get, though at this stage it is few and far between. It is important to note, however, that the rail here is packed with spectators. We've been here in the Brasilia room before and have never seen so many spectators at this hour. There are at least thirty people crowded around the rails right outside of the remaining three tables.

Justin Wald Wins a Huge Pot With Tony Sapio

Sapio raised to 35,000 and Wald reraised to 90,000. Sapio came over the top and set Wald all in, and he quickly called with pocket aces to Sapio's A-K. Wald flopped a set of aces and winning that pot pushed him up over 600,000 and left Sapio with around 150,000.

Rick Solis Doubles Through Roy Vandersluis

All the money went in before the flop with Solis' {9-Hearts} {9-Spades} pitted against Vandersluis' {A-Spades} {K-Spades}. The {4-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} flop gave Solis the set and the double-up. That boosted Solis to 130,000 and left Vandersluis with just 15,000.

Which he lost on the very next hand, as his {Q-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} was dominated by Chance Steed's {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts}. When Steed paired his ace on the turn that ws the end of Vandersluis' night.

Peterson Runs into Aces, then A-2

Earlier Lasse Peterson ran his A-Q into pocket aces. This time around, Peterson was all in preflop with two other players; Thomas Gabriel and Chris Coghlan. Peterson held {J-Spades} {A-Spades}, Thomas held {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts}, and Coghlan held {A-Diamonds} {2-Spades}.

Coghlan was thrilled when he spiked a deuce on the flop, though neither Peterson nor Gabriel were too amused when they couldn't catch up. Peterson was eliminated, while Gabriel is down to 315,000.

Dan Bowman Eliminates Charles Danna

Bowman raised to 30,000 from the cutoff and from the small blind Danna moved all in for his last 41,000. Bowman made the call and showed {K-Hearts} {2-Hearts} to Danna's {A-Spades} {K-Spades}. The {8-Hearts} {2-Spades} {10-Spades} flop gave Bowman a pair and Danna the nut flush draw, but the board ran out {3-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} and Danna was eliminated.

Three Table Redraw

After six levels of play, we are down to twenty-seven remaining players. As we are down to our final three tables, play has been momentarily stopped for the mandatory redraw.
