Raymer Railed

After a raise of 1,000 from Noah Boeken on the button, Raymer goes all in for 5,200 and is called by JC Alvarado on the big blind. Boeken folds. Raymer shows J-9 and Alvarado turns over 9-9. The flop of 8-10-2 gives Raymer hope, but the turn and river brick out to send him home. Alvarado is up to 37,500.

Hellmuth on a Rampage

With a board showing {3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades}, Phil Hellmuth checked and Justin Bonomo put in a hefty bet, and Hellmuth called. Hellmuth showed {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} for the overpair, but Bonomo had the {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the straight.

Hellmuth stood up quickly, kicking over his chair. "I had the nut pair!" he exclaimed. "Players bluff a lot so I trap them, of course," he added. Hellmuth is now down to 6,000.

Phil Ivey Out

On a flop of {K-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}, Berry Johnston checked, Ivey bet 3,000, and Johnston reraised all in. Ivey made the call, committing his remaining 9,000 in chips.

Johnston turned over {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}. Ivey showed {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. The turn was the {Q-Spades}, and the river the {J-Hearts}. Ivey has been eliminated, and Johnston is up to 42,000.
