James Duke raised to 30,000 from the button and Duane Gerleman tossed in an additional 5,000 from the big blind which was the last of his chips. Duke called.
Duke:
Gerleman:
The board ran out and although Gerleman caught a pair on the flop, Duke rivered a pair of kings to take down the pot and eliminate Gerleman from the event.
Charles Wood opened with a raise preflop to 60,000 before Ted Brooks reraised all in for about 170,000 total. Wood made the call.
Wood:
Brooks:
The board ran out and Wood spiked a seven on the river, much to the shock of the fans on the rail to eliminate an unfortunate Brooks from the tournament. Wood is now up to close to 700,000 in chips.
Martyn Wilson has apparently decided to mix things up a bit. He just played back-to-back hands in which he won one and lost one.
On the first hand, Wilson got Harold Hensley all in preflop. Hensley tabled and Wilson . The board ran out giving Wilson a full house and sending Hensley out in 24th place.
The very next hand, Wilson doubled up Ronald Puleo when Puleo's held up against Wilson's .
After the two hands Wilson stands at 506,000 and Puleo at 175,000.
Dennis Otto moved his short stack all in preflop but was unhappy to see Mike Thulson make the call. Thulson held as Otto sheepishly revealed for a steal attempt.
Eddie Villareal has eliminated the short-stacked James Maxwell. Villareal held pocket jacks against Maxwell's and when the board fell ten-high Villareal's jacks were good to collect the pot and send Maxwell home.
