This Is How You Play?

Tony G
Tony G
Tony G has recently been moved next to none other than Ralph Perry. This is notable because, in case you missed it, Guoga gave Perry a good razzing when he made a questionable call at the at the Intercontinental Poker Championship some time ago.

Hansen Rebounds

Down But Not Out
Down But Not Out
Hold'em:

Down to only 14,000 after that razz hand with Allen Cunningham, Hansen began mounting a comeback during the last hold'em round.

Ted Forrest opened for a raise from late position and Hansen called from the big blind. The flop was {J-Hearts} {10-Spades} {5-Spades} and both players checked. The turn was the {9-Diamonds}. Hansen bet out, prompting a fold from Forrest. The hand got his stack back up to 26,000.

On the next hand, Hansen raised from the small blind and Frank Kassela defended his big blind. The flop was {Q-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {4-Clubs}. Hansen bet, Kassela raised and Hansen called. The turn was the {7-Clubs} and both players checked. The river was the {A-Clubs}. Hansen bet and Kassela called.

Hansen rolled over {8-Spades} {9-Clubs}. He had rivered a flush and took it down. He's now up to 39,500.

Bueno Good Again

Stud:

In a three-way hand, David Singer bet out showing the {7-Clubs} while Patrick Bueno called showing {10-Diamonds} and Hasan Habib the {Q-Hearts}. But Bueno took the lead after that and bet until sixth street, when Singer chose to fold his {7-Clubs} {K-Spades} {5-Clubs} {8-Diamonds}.

Bueno showed {10-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {A-Hearts} to Habib's {Q-Hearts} {10-Spades} {7-Hearts} {3-Hearts}, and after the last card was dealt Habib again called Bueno's bet. Patrick showed {K-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} for the flush and Habib tossed his hand into the muck.

Raymond Davis Makes a Straight Flush

Stud-8:

Raymond Davis just scooped a pot against Stephen Wolff when he held ({10-Clubs}) ({8-Clubs}){7-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} ({9-Clubs}). Benyamine asked Davis if there were any way he could be bet off the hand and he replied, "Hell no. I had a straight draw, a flush draw, and a low draw. I'm not going anywhere."

Mikhail Ustinov Doubles Up

Stud:

Mikhail Ustinov called David Bach's bets all the way to fifth street, with Ustinov committing the last of his chips showing {10-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} to Bach's {8-Clubs} {K-Spades} {7-Hearts}. Ustinov had {K-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} in the hole for a flush draw but the {4-Hearts} he caught on sixth street ended up being good enough as his pair of fours held up and he survived. That double-up still leaves him very short with just 16,000 chips.

Thater Bests Gazes

Katja Thater

Stud:

Gazes: (X) (X) {3-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {6-Clubs} (X)
Thater: (X) (X) {K-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {8-Spades} (X)

Bill Gazes completed on 3rd street and Thater raised. Gazes reraised and Thater four-bet. Gazes called. Thater bet 4th street and Gazes called. When Gazes bet 5th street, Thater paused and said, "Do you have quads?" before eventually calling.

She called him down to the river and her ({K-Spades} ({10-Spades}) ({10-Hearts}) {K-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {8-Spades} beat his ({K-Clubs}) ({K-Diamonds}) ({J-Spades}) {3-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {6-Clubs}. Thater stacked the pot and left Gazes shaking his head.

Not the Duke of Razz

Razz is Brutal
Razz is Brutal
Razz:

Annie Duke (X-X) {3-?} {5-?} {4-?} {Q-?} (X)

Eli Elezra (X-X) {5-?} {3-?} {10-?} {7-?} (X)

Daniel Negreanu (X-X) {A-?} {9-?}

Eli Elezra completed on third street and both Annie Duke and Daniel Negreanu called. On fourth street Elezra bet out, Duke called and Negreanu folded. Duke took the lead on fifth, getting a call from Elezra, but bricked on sixth street and called Elezra's bet. Elezra bet seventh street and Duke called.

Elezra turned up {A-?} {2-?} {7-?} in the hole for a 7-5 low and Duke mucked. She's down to 30,000 after the hand while Eli climbed to 75,000.

Wanna Buy a Boat?

Ralph Perry has apparently put his boat up for sale and was talking to Layne Flack about purchasing it.

"You know the saying," said Flack. "The best day of your life is when you buy the boat and the next best is when you sell it!"

Flack may not be interested in Perry's aquatic vehicle, but apparently Greg "FBT" Mueller is mulling the purchase.
