Hawkins Doubles through Todd

Keith Hawkins raised to 5,500 preflop. Action folded to Eugene Todd and he made it 15,000 to go. Hawkins then moved all in for 42,300 and Todd made the call.

Todd: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}
Hawkins: {A-Hearts} {A-Clubs}

The flop gave Todd a flush draw, coming {K-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {3-Hearts}. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and then the river stayed diamond-free with the {3-Spades} to allow Hawkins to move up to 100,000. Todd dropped to 140,000.

Millar-Time for Daut

Ryan Daut got all in preflop with Alex Millar. Millar held big slick, {A-Hearts} {K-Spades}, and Daut held {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds}. It would be a race situation for a pot over 150,000. Millar was the one with his tournament life on the line.

The board ran out {7-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} and Daut successfully eliminated Millar, moving up to 178,600.

Dicken Doubles

A player opened for 5,500. The next player reraised to 16,000 and then Darrell Dicken moved all in for slightly over 50,000. The first raiser folded and then the second raiser called.

Dicken showed pocket kings and was up against {A-?} {Q-?}.

The board ran out {K-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {3-Spades} {2-Spades} {7-Spades} and Dicken was able to double up to 120,000 after coming in late and being the short stack in the money.

We're Not Making This Up

On the very next hand (after those described in the last post), Ware found himself in yet another big hand versus Chris McCormack. A preflop raising war resulted in McCormack getting all of his chips in the middle, with Ware having him covered.

McCormack had pocket aces, and Ware pocket kings.

The flop was {J-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. Then the {K-Spades} popped out on the turn, putting Ware way ahead. The river was the {J-Hearts}, and McCormack was eliminated.

Ware is now up to 276,000.
