Dannenmann Doubles

2005 WSOP Main Event runner-up Steve Dannenmann opened with a raise from late position to 800 before the player in the cutoff position reraised to 2,000. Dannenmann made the call.

They took a flop of {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Dannenmann moved his last 2,575 into the middle, but his opponent quickly called tabling {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}. Dannenmann showed {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} for the nut flush draw and gutshot straight draw.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and both players made a straight, leaving Dannenmann freerolling with his flush draw.

The river completed his flush with the {6-Clubs} to give Dannenmann a healthy pot to move up to 9,000 in chips.
