Okun Busted

There will be no final table for Jared Okun. He got his stack in with {A-?} {J-?}, but Michiel Brummelhuis woke up with pocket kings. Okun couldn't hit the board and is out in 10th place.

Rep, Meet Devin

Rep Porter and Devin Porter have been moved to the same table and have been discussing each other's family tree, trying to see if they are related in some way.

Each were comparing aunts and uncles. Rep said he had one relative that plays poker.

"I got a grandpa who's really into genealogy," Devin said. "I'll have to talk to him."

Von Halle Exits

Jan Von Halle eliminated
Jan Von Halle eliminated
Jan Von Halle is headed for the cashier's window. Preflop, he reraised a button raise all in from the small blind, only to run into Devin Porter's queens in the big blind. Von Halle was in very bad shape, tabling {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs}. The board came out nine-high, eliminating Von Halle in 11th place. He earns a $19,570 payday.

Shilyuk Survives

Anatoly Shilyuk reraised all in preflop for his tournament life after a raise from Devin Porter. Porter made the call and showed the black queens. He was ahead of Shilyuk's {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs} but a board of {10-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} bailed Porter out of trouble. He now has about 165,000 in chips.

Kevin MacPhee Doubles Up, Then Eliminates One

Kevin MacPhee
Kevin MacPhee
After doubling through Michiel Brummelhuis with {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} against Brummelhuis' {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} after an ace hit on the flop, Kevin MacPhee was all in preflop on the very next hand with {A-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} to Thomas Fuller's {k-Spades}{q-Spades}.

The board came {4-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and MacPhee moved to 510,000 in chips. Fuller was eliminated.

Peter Marr Crippled, Then Busted

Peter Marr
Peter Marr
On the first hand back from break, Devin Porter raised to 23,000 and Peter Marr shoved all in for almost 250,000 from the big blind.

Porter called showing {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and Marr flipped over {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

The board was no help to Marr, who had just 17,000 left after the hand.

He moved those chips on the next hand and was called by Andrew Fegan and Nathan Templeton, who checked it down.

Fegan showed middle pair, taking the pot. Marr threw his cards into the muck, knocked over his chair and headed toward the rail.
