On the Little Stack

Jonathan Little
Jonathan Little
Jonathan Little raised it up from early position to 1,100 and the player in the big blind made the call.

They took a flop of {Q-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. The big blind checked, Little fired out 1,600 which was called by his opponent. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and again the bet of 5,000 by Little was check-called.

The river landed the {8-Diamonds} and this time the big blind led out with a small bet of only 4,000. Little thought for a moment before giving up his hand to fall to 16,500 in chips.

Lawson Lays Down Aces

Mark Garner opened for 1,600 from late position, Ted Lawson reraised to 4,000 from the small blind and Garner made the call. The flop was {Q-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {2-Clubs}. Lawson led out for 8,000 and Garner called. The turn was the {4-Clubs}. Lawson checked, Garner bet 16,000 and Lawson tanked for several minutes.

"You don't have the ace of clubs down there, do ya?" asked Lawson, flashing his {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} as he mucked.

Garner showed {A-Clubs} {9-Hearts} and dragged the pot.

Just a Patriot

Stephen Hindmarsh is wearing a POW/MIA hat at Table 19, and we asked him if he knew someone in that situation.

"No, I'm just a big patriot," he said. He's in the Air National Guard and has 35,000 in chips.

Dirt Klod

Chris Klodnicki and another player are all in preflop. Chris has {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} and the opponent has {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. The board runs {A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Klodnicki busts the other player, moving up to 68,000.

Vicintini Doubles

On a flop of {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades} Reinaldo Vicintini got his chips into the middle with {7-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for bottom pair and flush draw, but found that a heart would be no good as his opponent called with {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for a royal flush draw.

The turn and river bricked {K-Clubs}, {K-Diamonds} and Vicintini made a full house to double up to 45,000 in chips.

Katz-astophe

Adam Katz, during Event #48
Adam Katz, during Event #48
Jarrett Peter opened with a raise to 1,600 from middle position before Adam Katz reraised to 6,000 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Peter, who moved all in covering Katz.

Katz sighed, "I'm not good enough to fold," before making the call and tabling {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. But as he suspected he was in trouble against the {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} of Peter.

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{J-Spades}{10-Spades} and Peter takes the pot to move to 76,000 as Katz is eliminated.
