Fish Dinner

Mike Matusow has just eliminated Salman Ali on the TV table. Ali was holding {J-Hearts} {J-Clubs} to Matusow's {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}.

Fireworks left over from yesterday went off on the {5-?} {6-?} {9-?} flop containing two diamonds. Ali was the all-in player and the player eliminated when the {K-Diamonds} fell on the turn.

Lilholdem on Life Support

Preflop, Chad "lilholdem" Batista raises to 550 in late position and the opponent, who Batista berated earlier, reraises to 2,975 all in, in the small blind. Batista calls.

Batista: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}
Small blind: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

Board: {K-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{6-Spades}

Batista is down to 9,000.

Mike Sexton Eliminated

Well, Vince... I had Ace-King and...
Mike Sexton just couldn't get anything going today. Down to his last 3,000, he moved all in preflop with {A-?} {K-?} and Mike Scala made the call with {K-?} {J-?}. The flop came down {J-?} {J-?} {5-?} , making Scala trips. The turn and river blanked out for Sexton and he made an early exit.

Tiffany Michelle Gives a Little Back

Tiffany Michelle
Tiffany Michelle
Tiffany Michelle raised to 600 from under the gun. The cutoff seat looked her up and they took a flop heads up.

The flop came {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} and both players checked. When the {4-Spades} came off on the turn, Michelle bet 2,000 and her opponent called.

The river fell the {7-Hearts} and both players checked again. Michelle showed {Q-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} but couldn't beat the {A-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} of her opponent. She slipped to 34,800 chips on the hand.

Ready For My Close-up

There may be some observational bias here, but it seems like the number of all-ins dramatically increases when the ESPN cameras come into the room looking for action. Or maybe it's the dealers shouting, "All in, table 48!!!" with a little more oomph that gets your attention. One player was upset with his dealer when he didn't announce his all-in with enough volume. "You just cost me my TV time," he said, and was apparently serious.

Pair No Good for 'thaboss'

Jarrad "thaboss" Dale dropped down to 17,550 after hitting top pair on a board of {6-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}. Dale's opponent led out for 2,500 on the turn and Dale check-called. The river was the {K-Hearts} and his opponent fired 4,000 and again Dale made the call. Dale turned over Q-X for top pair while his opponent showed 7-4 for a flopped straight.

Farzad Far from Chips

On a flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}, the big blind bets 600 and a late-position player calls. Farzad Rouhani calls in the cutoff and Gavin Griffin calls on the button.

The turn is {9-Hearts} and the big blind bets 600. Rouhani calls. Griffin folds.

The river is {9-Spades} and the BB bets 1500. Rouhani calls.

The big blind shows {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Rouhani mucks. He's down to 27,000 and Griffin is down to 4,000.

Matt Graham Sends a Player Home

Matt Graham - Event #53
Matt Graham - Event #53
On a flop of {K-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {6-Clubs}, Matt Graham led out for 725 from late position. His only opponent, playing from the button, put in a raise to 2,200. Graham reraised to 5,200 and the button pushed all in. Graham made the call and the players showed:

Graham: {A-Clubs} {10-Hearts}
Opponent: {8-Clubs} {4-Clubs}

Graham had the nut flush draw and an inside straight draw. The turn blanked, falling the {7-Spades}, but the river was the {7-Clubs} giving Graham the flush and the win. He is now back to his starting stack of 20,000 chips.

Giving Opponents Griff

Gavin Griffin limps in, in the hijack, and the small blind raises to 1,000. Griffin calls.

The flop is {6-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and the small blind bets 1,100. Griffin raises all in to 3,325. The small blind folds {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} face up and Griffin climbs back to 6,500.

Medic Cancels Life Support

Nenad Medic, who has been on life support for awhile now, has just managed to jump-start his day and is now up to 23,000.

Preflop, from the button, Medic made it 600 to go and was called by the big blind. The flop came {8-Spades} {3-Spades} {2-Hearts} and the big blind check-raised to 2,500. Medic raised to 6,000 and the big blind moved all in, having Medic covered.

Medic called and showed 8-3 for two pair. He was up against his opponent's pocket nines. The two pair held for Medic, which was good, as he was down to his last 7,000 earlier.
