More Luxury for Saab

An under-the-gun player raised to 1,200 and three others called, including Scott Harris and David Saab.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {2-Spades} and everyone checked their option.

The turn paired the board with the {10-Spades}. Harris was the first to bet and made a wager of 3,000. Saab was the only player to call.

The river was the {4-Spades}. This time it was Saab who bet 5,000 and Harris raised to 12,000. Saab then reraised to 30,000 and this sent Harris into the tank.

Harris put his hands on his head and shook his head, saying, "I can only beat a bluff." He continued to shake his head and said, "I don't understand what you can have."

After a few moments, Harris folded {K-Spades} {J-Spades} face up.

Saab giggled with a comment from Bruce Buffer and is up to 170,000.

No Moore

We missed the preflop action, but all of John Moore's chips were in the middle and he was facing Ryan Daut. Daut showed {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs} against Moore's {A-Spades} {5-Diamonds}. The board ran out {J-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {5-Spades} {J-Hearts} {A-Clubs} to make trip jacks for Daut against two pair, aces and jacks, for Moore. Daut climbed to 32,000 on the hand, while Moore was eliminated.

Aces Andy

Andy Griggs has just doubled up to 57,000. He was heads up with an opponent and the flop was out as {8-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {J-Spades} before all the chips went in.

Griggs had {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} to his opponent's {J-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}. The aces held and Griggs is up to 57,000.

According to Lara Miller on the rail, this is Griggs's first live tournament. He is best known as a Country and Western singer who sang us in the first two days of play at this years Main Event.

He's got the backing of the team at Doyle's Room, though. They've spent the last week giving him pointers and specific instructions to follow. Seems to be working okay for now.

Sami Rustom raised to 1,800 preflop and Steve Dannenmann reraised to 5,800. Rustom called.

On a flop of {7-Clubs} {10-Spades} {8-Diamonds}, Rustom checked to Dannenmann, who bet 8,000. Rustom raised all in and Dannenmann called. Dannenmann only had around 15,000.

Dannenmann: {Q-Clubs} {Q-Spades}
Rustom: {5-Diamonds} {6-Spades}

The turn of the {4-Hearts} gave Rustom a straight. The river card of the {4-Spades} ended up being irrelevant, and Dannenmann was eliminated.
