Bob Cook Out

Bob Cook moved all in preflop with pocket tens but was in trouble as Alexander Borteh made the call from the big blind with pocket jacks. A third jack on the flop was enough to end the day for Cook.

Frank Browne Busts

On a flop of {3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, Frank Browne and Kyle Carston are all in.

Browne: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Carston: {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

The flopped straight holds up (and even improves) with a turn and river of {8-Clubs}{6-Spades} and Browne is out. Carston has 875,000.

Querying Quelle

With the board showing {5-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{2-Spades} and 75,000 already in the middle, Dale Hoy checked, and Ferdinand Quelle bet 70,000. Hoy called.

The river brought the {9-Hearts}. Hoy again checked, and this time Quelle bet 170,000. Hoy agonized for a minute or two as he considered what to do. "Do you have two pair?" he asked Quelle. No response. "Maybe a flush draw that missed?" Again, nothing.

Finally Hoy made the call. Quelle showed his {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, and Hoy turned over {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} to take the pot. Hoy is up over 800,000, while Quelle has slipped to 170,000.

That's Not Right

Just before the break, on a flop of {8-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {3-Hearts}, Chris Crilly open-shoved all in with about 80,000 in the pot. Alfredo Fernandez thought it over, then made the call for less.

Crilly: {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs}
Fernandez: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}

Fernandez had called all in with ace high, and had run into cowboys. That was no problem for Fernandez when the turn came {A-Spades} to make him a pair of aces and deliver a gut punch to Crilly. The river {J-Clubs} cinched the hand for Fernandez.

Fernandez rocketed up to 846,000, while Crilly slipped back to 470,000.

Joanne Monteavaro Eliminated

Joanne Monteavaro was all in for her last 7,500 and was called by both Allen Carter and Lonnie Heimowitz.

Monteavaro {J-Clubs} {4-Hearts}

Carter {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}

Heimowitz {A-Spades} {5-Spades}

The board ran out {8-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {6-Hearts}, Carter and Heimowitz checking it down the whole way. Carter's {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} was the winner and he dragged the pot, eliminating Monteavaro.
