On a flop of Yde van Deutekom led out with a bet of 60,000 before Steve Billirakis came over the top for all of his chips. He covered van Deutekom who made the call.

Van Deutekom held top pair but would need some help against the overpair of Billirakis. The turn provided no help when it bricked the , however the miracle came on the river to give van Deutekom two pair to stay alive with a double up to 590,000 much to the disappointment of Billirakis.
Brad Hood, David Baker, Tyron Krost and Olivier Busquet, short stacks all around, have all left the tournament area here in the Amazon Room. Hood was short, and pushed into Tom Cope's Big Slick. Cope wound up making trip aces to take Hood out.
Baker was also short, down to just 65,000, and pushed into Alfredo Fernandez's . Neither player improved on a board that came out .
Krost can say he was taken out by Gus Hansen. Again the money was in the middle preflop. This time it was a race, Krost's against Hansen's . Hansen hit the flop with a set; the turn gave Krost outs to a chop, but he missed on the river.
Busquet engaged in a series of preflop raises with Mark Vos before the money went in. He had against Vos' , another race situation. This time the overcards won it when the board ran out .
Michael Ortlieb's Main Event came to an end when he ended up all in preflop after a raising war with Rob Georato. Ortlieb's couldn't improve against Georato's and he hit the rail.
Joining him there is Nick Voyatzis, whose couldn't hit a miracle vs. Tri Nguyen's , as well as Phongthep Thiptinnakon, who risked his tournament life on only to run into Nicholas Sliwinski's .
Jeremy Joseph
Jeremy Joseph has just taken a small dent to his chip stack in a hand against Will Brewin. On a board of , Joseph showed down for top pair, but found himself rivered by the of Brewin.
Joseph still holds the chip lead at around 2.1 million chips.
David Saab raised to 20,000 from the cutoff, and Matt Matros called behind him on the button. David Benefield then reraised to 83,000 from the small blind. Then James McManus reraised yet again, this time to 195,000. His three opponents all folded.

Hevad Khan was recently sent to the rail, courtesy of Team PokerNews member Tiffany Michelle. We didn't see the preflop action, but we did see Khan and Michelle get it all in the middle on a flop. Khan showed a pair and a flush draw with ; Michelle showed a better pair and a better flush draw with . The turn and river bricked out .
Tracey Nguyen went all in with her last 68,000 and was called by Phil Hellmuth. Nguyen had , and Hellmuth . The flop was , and the turn the . "A five wouldn't be bad," said Hellmuth. "I'd take it," said Nguyen. Sure enough, the popped out, and Nguyen survived the hand with a chop. Hellmuth currently has about 495,000.
Soon after, though, Nguyen was all in again with , but this time was up against Andy Schultz' . No such luck this time for Nguyen, as the community cards came . She's out, and Schultz is up to 225,000.
