Davis Gets Better Of Dragomir In Raising War

An interesting battle just broke out of a flop of {5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}.

Sean Davis fired out 55,000 before Cristian Dragomir raised it to 133,000.

Davis then reraised to a total of 253,000, and Dragomir put in yet another raise, making it 483,000 to go.

Davis then immediately moved all in, and surprisingly Dragomir quickly folded.

We'll have updated chips counts from the feature table at the break.

An Alien Among Us?

It was just announced that at the start of today's play there were 26 countries being represented. The voice later announced that "65 percent of the remaining field is from the United States while 34 percent hails from a foreign country."

While it was an obvious rounding error, many people couldn't help but notice that these numbers did not equal 100 percent.

Amongst the chatter, ESPN host Ali Nejad was overheard jokingly asking "What, is there a Martian playing?"

Something Good Brewin

It looked like Will Brewin was about to exit the tournament when he was all in before the flop with {8-Clubs} {8-Hearts} to Deng Dong's {A-Spades} {6-Spades} and the flop came {7-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {A-Hearts}. But the {5-Hearts} on the river gave Brewin an open-ended straight draw and the runner-runner came in as he spiked the {4-Clubs} on the river double up to 325,000. Dong is now down to just 50,000.

Kings into Aces for Albert Kim

Albert Kim picked up cowboys at the wrong time. He raised to 45,000 from early position. Mark Owens popped it up to 145,000. Everyone else folded back to Kim, who raised enough to put Owens all in. He snap-called and tabled pocket rockets. Kim flopped a set, but so did Owens when the flop came down {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {9-?}. The turn and river fell {10-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds}, allowing Owens' set of aces to hold up. He moves up to 970,000, while Kim drops down to 1,275,000.

Keoni Schwartz Eliminated

Keoni Schwartz
Keoni Schwartz
After Brandon Becker raised to 45,000 from early position Keoni Schwartz moved all in for 125,000 from the big blind. Becker called and his {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades} had Schwartz's {A-Clubs} {8-Hearts} dominated.

The tables turned as Schwartz connected on the {8-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {4-Spades} flop but after the {3-Diamonds} came on the turn the {Q-Diamonds} cruelly spiked on the river to rip the pot away from Schwartz and end his Main Event.

Patience Pays Dividens For Crowe

Owen Crowe
Owen Crowe
Owen Crowe has been very quiet so far today, so much so that he often goes unnoticed seated in between the fast-talking Chino Rheem and Mike Matusow.

However, he recently got involved in some action with a raise preflop to 37,000. Phi Nguyen made the call, as did Cristian Dragomir from the small blind.

The flop came {2-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Dragomir checked to Crowe, who fired out 66,000. Nguyen announced a raise, making it 216,000 to go. Dragomir thought for a long time before giving up his hand. Crowe made the call.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and Crowe checked to Nguyen, who fired out a healthy 270,000 chips. Crowe deliberated and made the call.

The river was the {10-Spades} and both players quickly checked. Crowe showed {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} to take down the pot and move to over 1.3 million chips.
