Peter Traply Eliminated

Peter Traply - Eliminated
Peter Traply - Eliminated
On the first hand of play, Darren Grant limped into the pot from early position and Felix Osterland raised to 50,000 from middle position. Peter Traply called from the button and when action was back to Grant, he pushed all in for a total of 485,000.

Osterland threw his hand away, but Traply called for his whole stack of about 160,000. The players showed:

Traply: {Q-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}
Grant: {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}

Traply got no help from the community cards as the board ran out {8-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {5-Hearts} and he was eliminated. Darren Grant chipped up to just over 820,000 on the hand.

Greg Debora Eliminates George Rahme

George Rahme moved all in for 128,000 from middle position and Greg Debora moved in his last 255,000 as well. Debora's {A-Spades} {Q-Spades} had Rahme's {A-Clubs} {5-Clubs} dominated and after the {7-Clubs} {2-Spades} {6-Hearts} flop Debora turned the {Q-Hearts}, making the {5-Spades} that fell on the river a moot point. Rahme has been eliminated and Debora is up to around 400,000.

He stressed that the tournament staff (and ESPN, presumably) will be evaluating the situation throughout the day to see what makes most sense.

With the button in the nine seat and the tournament clock reading 38:47 remaining in level 19, the cards are in the air.

Play is scheduled for five levels today, but the tournament staff has just stated that this could be reevaluated depending upon the pace of play.
