Something Brewing

Robert Brewer - Event #48
Robert Brewer - Event #48
Robert Brewer bet 5,000 on the board of {A-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {2-Hearts}. Amir Vahedi looked at him and then put Brewer all in. Brewer said, "I call."

Brewer was disappointed to see Vahedi turn over {A-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} for two pair against his {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}. But then just like that, the dealer struck life back into Brewer with the {8-Hearts} on the river, giving Brewer a flush.

"Thank you God, you saved my life!" exclaimed Brewer as he clasped his hand over his heart.

Brewer is a 70-year-old actor/voice over. He's a former lawyer and playing in his first WSOP and according to Brewer, "I'm having the time of my life." He made the final table of Event #48 and came in fourth place, earning just under $275,000.
