Devious Devlin Has Danny Drawing Dead

Hold'em

We caught up with this one on the turn. With the board showing {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{K-Spades} and 9,000 in the middle, Daniel Negreanu checked, Stephen Devlin bet 5,000, and Negreanu thought a while before check-raising to 15,500, enough to put Devlin all in. Devlin swiftly called, showing {A-Spades}{9-Spades} for the nut flush. Negreanu turned over {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} -- he was drawing dead.

Devlin now has 40,000, while Kid Poker has slipped to 38,000.

Vivek Vanquished

Hold'em

Alex Jalali raised preflop, then Vivek Rajkumar reraised the pot. It folded around to Nam Le who repopped it, forcing Jalali to fold. Rajkumar called with the last of his chips.

Le {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Rajkumar {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The race was on. The flop came {3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, giving Rajkumar a straight draw in addition to his overs. The turn was the {7-Spades}, and Le was still good. Then the river came the {J-Spades}, and Rajkumar is out.

Le is up to 73,000.

Amnon Doubles Another

Hold'em

Under the gun, Amnon Filippi raised it up, and Tony Cousineau got all in for his last 4,400. Filippi tabled {J-Spades} {J-Clubs}, while Cousineau was racing for his tournament life with {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}.

The board smiled on Cousineau, coming out {A-Hearts} {10-Spades} {8-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {9-Hearts}. With his pair of aces, Tony Cousineau earns a much needed double up to right around 10,000.

"Easy Game"

Hold'em

Julian Rodriguez just got the last of his short stack all in on a flop of {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{5-Spades} against Amnon Filippi. Rodriguez was in tough shape with {A-Spades}{5-Hearts} versus Filippi's {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}.

But the tide turned quickly with a {5-Diamonds} on the turn. Then the {5-Clubs} popped out on the river. "Easy game," said Filippi with a roll of the eyes.

Rodriguez chips back up to 19,000, while Filippi now has 58,000.

Ling Does His Thing

Omaha

Under the gun, Amnon Filippi opened with a raise to 1,700. The bet came around to Andrew Ling, and he re-raised it to 5,400 from the cutoff. Filippi was the lone caller.

The flop came down {3-Hearts} {2-Spades} {4-Spades}. Filippi checked, and Ling moved all in for his final 6,900 chips. Amnon considered for just a moment before letting his hand go, and Ling has chipped up just a bit to 19,000.

The Thrill Is Gone

Omaha

Will "The Thrill" Failla started the day as one of the shortest's stacks with just 4,000, and just now got it all in on a flop of {J-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} against Seth Anirudh. Failla showed {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, while Anirudh turned over {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and the river the {7-Clubs}, and Failla's day is done. Anirudh now has 59,000.

Fast Times for Fossilman

Already a busy day for Greg "Fossilman" Raymer.

All of these hands took place during the first orbit, when the game was PLO. First, Raymer doubled up Hoyt Corkins, thus falling down from his starting stack of 25,400 to 6,700. Then Raymer doubled up through Jay Heimowitz, moving back up to 15,000. Then Raymer doubled up yet again in a three-way hand involving Alfredo Vega and Heimowitz.

The six-time WSOP bracelet winner Heimowitz busted on that last one, and Raymer is back up to 31,000.

Negreanu Takes One

Omaha

Under the gun, Daniel Negreanu put in a minimum raise to 1,200. Action passed all the way back to the big blind where Michael Mizrachi called the extra 600.

The flop showed up {6-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {7-Spades}. The Grinder led out into the pot, flicking out 2,000 in chips, prompting Negreanu to raise it up to 9,000. That was enough to get Mizrachi out of the way, and the pot goes to Kid Poker.

Filippi Flips Over Kings

Omaha

Amnon Filippi didn't waste any time getting his 32,500 chips into the middle of the table. He held {K-?} {K-?} (X) (X), and managed to draw a third of his kind on the board. With his set of kings, he earns a big double up through Tyler Mckinnon, up to 72,000 now.
