Scott Seiver's Stack Shrinks

On a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, Christian Iacobellis check-raised to 13,400 from the small blind after after Scott Seiver had called a 3,000 bet from the button.

The original bettor folded and Seiver reraised all-in, getting the call from Iacobellis.

Seiver: {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Iacobellis: {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

When the board completed {4-Clubs}{7-Spades}, Seiver shipped a total of 39,900 one seat to his left.

Cody Slaubaugh Doubles Up

Cody Slaubaugh got his stack into the middle preflop and got called by Chester Burnett.

Slaubaugh: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Burnett: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}

The flop of {3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs} gave Slaubaugh a flush draw which he hit on the turn with the {10-Clubs}. The {10-Hearts} on the river changed nothing, and Slaubaugh doubled to 85,000.

Dragon Claims Lady Maverick

Vanessa Rousso
Vanessa Rousso
Vanessa Rousso has been sent crashing to the rail after a huge clash with David Pham.

Pham recalled the hand to us and said that Rousso had raised preflop to 4,000 with Pham defending his big blind with {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

The flop of {Q-?}{J-?}{8-?} was enough for the two to get all their chips into the middle with Pham's two pair in trouble against Rousso's set of jacks. However another queen on the turn changed things around, giving Pham a bigger full house and the massive pot.

Rousso is eliminated as Pham assumes the tournament chip lead with 241,000 chips.

Set of Kings Not Enough For Kagawa

Masa Kagawa has taken a terribly bad beat after he had two players all in preflop with his {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} well ahead of his opponent's {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} and {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

Things got even better for Kagawa on the {K-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop as he picked up a set, leaving both opponents drawing to running help. Kagawa then watched on in horror as the {9-Hearts} hit the turn and {A-Hearts} fell on the river to give both opponents a flush.

Kagawa slips to 65,000.

Thomas Keller Eliminates Rob Hollink

Rob Hollink raised to 5,000 from middle position and Thomas Keller re-raised to 18,000. Action folded back to Hollink who shoved, and Keller called.

Hollink: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Keller: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The flop of {9-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} gave Keller the full house and Hollink was drawing to just two outs, which didn't come when the board finished {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Keller now has 95,000.

Desveaux Rockets Past Snead

Scott Desveaux wanted to get a mention in our blog to say hi to his mom and dad back home...now he gets a mention for taking down a huge pot and eliminating Paul Snead in the process.

After Gavin Griffith had opened with a raise from under the gun, it was the sneaky preflop flat call by Scott Desveaux in middle position that lured Snead into the trap. Play folded to Snead in the cutoff who moved all in for 32,700, and as Griffin folded Desveaux snap-called with {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} to have Snead in bad shape with his {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{J-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and after a count down of chip Desveaux just had his opponent covered to send Snead to the rail and jump himself up to 75,000.
