Rios Exits the Rio

Brian Lemke is now up to 175,000 after eliminating a short-stacked Jesse Rios. The chips were in the middle preflop with Lemke's pocket jacks in control against the pocket sixes of Lemke.

The board was spread {7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{A-Spades}{10-Spades} and Lemke collects a nice pot and sends Rios to the rail.

Illingworth Tames Medic

Danny Illingworth and Nenad Medic have just played a big pot with Illingworth again taking it down to add to his fortress of chips.

We caught the action on the turn with the board spread {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{A-Hearts}. Medic checked to Illingworth who fired 31,500. Medic made the call, and then check-called the 63,500 chip bet of Illingworth on the {6-Clubs} river.

The unstoppable Illingworth revealed {J-Hearts}{9-Spades} for trips to take it down.

Illingworth now has a massive 945,000 chips spread out over approximately 40 stacks of chips across the table.

Interestingly, the other big stack of the field, Billy Kopp has just been moved to this table which is now very heavily stacked with chips.

Benefield Accumulating

Ludovic Lacay opened with a raise to 15,000 from under the gun with David Benefield and the big blind making the call.

The flop was {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{7-Spades} and action checked to Benefield, who fired 23,000 with Lacay the only caller.

The turn was a repeat {7-Diamonds} and Lacay checked to Benefield who made a bet of 32,000, which was enough to take it down. He's now up to 210,000 chips.

Boudreau Eliminated; Illingworth Continues His Merry Way

The rich get richer! Danny Illingworth has just taken out another player to extend his chip lead over the field.

Illingworth held pocket kings and avoided any mischief as the board bricked out against the short-stacked Kevin Boudreau's {A-?}{K-?}.

Boudreau departs in 39th place and will collect $14,192 for his efforts as Illingworth now sits with 820,000 chips.

Sowers Powers

Fabian Quoss opened with a raise under the gun to 15,000 before Mike Sowers popped it up to 42,500 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Quoss who moved all in with Sowers making the call.

Quoss: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Sowers: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Sowers' kings prevail to double up to 464,000 with Quoss slipping to 480,000.

Alexander Turyansky Eliminates a Player

Alexander Turyansky called his opponent's preflop all in bet and showed ace-king, which put him well ahead of his opponent's queen-jack.

Turyansky led the entire way, and paired on the river when the board came {2-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. He now has 485,000.

Inselberg Attracting the Chips Not the Ladies

After being down to his last 1,500 chips earlier in the day, the remarkable comeback of David Inselberg continues as he just raked in a large, but rather strange pot, without contest.

David Pham opened with a raise to 17,500 from middle position before Hasan Habib made it 55,500 from the button. The action was then with Inselberg, who moved all in over the top for 123,500 in total.

Pham flashed his cards to our reporter, and later told the table that he folded pocket queens, and amazingly Habib also folded to give Inselberg the pot as he moves up to 215,000 chips.

Pham sighed at the fold of Habib and informed him that he had folded queens. Habib's reply was, "That's impossible...I folded pocket queens too!"

Grippo Doubles Through Verret

Nick Grippo shoved his stack in with {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} and went racing with Steve Verret who called with {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

A flop of {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} put Grippo in front and the {7-Diamonds} on the turn didn't change a thing. The {4-Clubs} on the river gave Grippo quads and a pot worth 254,000. Verret slipped back to 110,000.
