Williams Doubles

Williams grinding the short-stack
Williams grinding the short-stack
With the action folding to Shirley Williams in the small blind she shipped her last 950 into the middle with the big blind near insta-calling.

Williams: {9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{K-Spades} to see Williams double through to 2,500 in chips.

Table 7 on Fire

The action on table 7 is starting to heat up . . . but it's not what you think.

Everytime a short stack moves all in, rowdy cheers come from everyone on the table - well, apart from whoever they double up through.

Shirley Williams found a double earlier, and now Karina Jett has doubled up the other short stack - much to the delight of fellow table mate Maridu Mayrinck.

With the ladies obviously having fun, this will definitely be a table worth looking out for!

Jett Leaking Chips

It seems as though Karina Jett can't catch a break at the moment.

Most recently she continued her generous chip-giving when her {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} was rivered by her opponent's {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} when the board filled out {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{K-Spades}.

Jett has now doubled up two players in the past two orbits at her table, and consequently has slipped to 7,600 in chips.

Tibbles to Value Town

We caught the action on the flop of {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades} with Tamara Tibbles leading out for 4,000 and her opponent check-calling.

The turn landed the {7-Diamonds}, and this time a bet of 8,000 was in order, which was again check-called by her opponent.

When the river landed the {J-Hearts}, Tibbles took her opponent to value town with a bet of 2,000.

Her opponent jumped in the car for the ride and made the call, only to see Tibbles table {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a flush and the pot as she soared to the chip lead with 41,000 and change.

Maridu Shocked but Retains Chips

Kind gesture from Maridu
Kind gesture from Maridu
The under the gun player opened with a raise to 1,000 before Maridu Mayrinck made it 2,300 to go.

Mayrinck's opponent made the call and checked the flop of {7-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. Mayrinck fired out 1,675, only to be check-raised to 4,000. Mayrinck called and pushed all in on the turn of the {6-Spades} after her opponent lead out for 4,000.

Her opponent sat in the tank and asked Mayrinck if she would show. After being turned down, she open-mucked her {6-?}{6-?}, and with Mayrinck in shock she kindly flashed her {A-?}{A-?}.

As Mayrinck raked in the pot to move to 31,000, she commented on how bad she felt and offered her opponent a 2% stake in her if she cashes.

Alya Nazarali Doubles

Alya Nazarali opened the pot to 2,100 and managed to find two callers.

The flop fell down {7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Nazarali and one opponent got all their chips into the middle with Nazarali at risk.

Nazarali: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Opponent: {6-Spades}{7-Spades}

With Nazarali having a virtual lock on the pot, she would have a small sweat on the turn when the {6-Diamonds} fell, but with the {J-Hearts} landing on the river she doubled through to over 20,000 in chips.
