Cunning Comeback for Kim

Down to a mere 49,000, Kim Cunningham shoved from the cutoff and got looked up by Kim Rios in the big blind.

Cunningham: {9-Hearts} {9-Spades}
Rios: {A-Diamonds} {J-Spades}

Board: {Q-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {2-Spades} {8-Hearts} {10-Diamonds}

Cunningham upped her stack to 105,000, while Rios dropped to 200,000.

A few hands later, Cunningham made it 30,000 under the gun and Rios shoved from the button with {A-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}; Cunningham was holding {A-Spades} {K-Spades} though and called, and a board full of blanks later, Cunningham was up to 225,000 while Rios was down to 110,000.

Angel Finds her Wings

Angel Pedroza has doubled through the hapless Lisa Parsons, getting it in on the turn of a {K-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {4-Clubs} board with {A-Clubs} {6-Hearts}. Parsons called her push but could only boast pocket eights, and is down to 170,000, while Pedroza moves up to 350,000.

Tran Pushes with Interesting Hand

Angie Tran somehow managed to get all her chips in the middle with {Q-Spades} {2-Spades}, drawing pretty thin against Mari Lou Morelli's {A-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs}, even thinner when an ace fell on the flop. No miracles on the turn and river, and while Morelli was up to a rather nice 210,000, Tran hit the rail.

Kerstetter Flips Out

Jamie Kerstetter shipped her last 89,000 in from the cutoff with pocket {10-Spades} {10-Clubs} and Lisa Parsons in the big blind gave her a spin with {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}. An ace on the turn, no tens at all anywhere on the board, and Kerstetter's tournament was over.

Karina Careens Out of the Running

A desperate Karina Jett open-shoved under the gun with the frankly not-premium {K-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} and got a call from Melissa Masek in the big blind who'd woken up with {10-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}. Zero help from the board, and Karina Jetted off to the cage to get her monies.

Alice in Bustoland

Tamara Tibbles and Alice Talbot saw a {2-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {4-Diamonds} flop and fell in love with it; Tibbles check-raised all in and Talbot called her, and the double-up for Tibbles soon followed.

Tibbles: {10-Hearts} {8-Clubs}
Talbot: {8-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}

Turn: {K-Diamonds}
River: {10-Spades}

Tibbles won the Tibbles vs. Talbot confrontation and was up to 190,000; Talbot was down to 65,000.

A few hands later Lori Bender raised from the cutoff and Talbot shoved her small blind, but it was not to be and she exited in 22nd place while Bender moved up to 190,000.

Bender: {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}
Talbot: {6-Spades} {6-Diamonds}

Board: {8-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {2-Clubs}

Thus we lose Alice Talbot.
