Nines Good for Rios

Jesse Rios limped in from middle position, and Joe Serock raised to 75,000 from the button. The blinds fold, and Rios made the call.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{A-Spades}. Rios checked, Serock bet 105,000, and after thinking a bit Rios made the call. Both checked the {2-Hearts} on the turn. Both also checked the {7-Diamonds} on the river.

Rios turned over {J-Spades}{9-Hearts} for nines, and Serock mucked. Rios has nearly 1.2 million, while Serock is still above the 3 million-chip mark.

Brian Meinders Eliminated in 8th Place ($54,777)

Brian Meinders - 8th Place
Brian Meinders - 8th Place
As [Removed:505] was being eliminated, a big hand was brewing over on Table #150 between chip leader Joe Serock and Brian Meinders.

All of the community cards had been dealt: {7-Spades}{J-Hearts}{A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, and it appeared as though Meinders had check-raised Serock, who then responded by pushing all in. Meinders called, turning over Q-J for trip jacks. But Serock had {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for the straight, and Meinders is out in 8th place.

"Donk down on 150!" said the good-natured Meinders as he shook hands on his way out.

Serock moves up to a whopping 3.4 million on that one, about than two million ahead of his nearest foe (Brock Parker). We're down to seven, and so now the players are redrawing for a single seven-handed table.

Russell Prevented From Being A Rustler

Joe Serock raises to 34,000 from UTG. Russell Crane calls from the button and Brian Meinders calls in the big blind.

The flop is {10-Spades} {9-Hearts} {6-Clubs}, Meinders and Serock check and Crane bets what looked to be about 56,000. Meinders folded but Serock made the call.

The turn {2-Spades} went check check before Serock bet 175,000 on the {7-Clubs} river. Crane folded and the rich get richer.

Shorter-Handed

One four-handed table at the moment: Newman, Meinders, Serock, and Crane. And one five-handed: Wilson, Sudworth, Kinkade, Rios, and Parker.

Joe Serock continues to maintain the lead with 2.2 million. The short stack right now is Clayton Newman with about 275,000.

Kink - You Really Got Me

Alexander Wilson raises to 42,000 from the cut-off and [Removed:505] makes it an even 100,000 from the small blind. Passed back to Wilson who moves all-in and as he does this, Kinkade lets out a deep sigh...and folds.
