A Band of Thieves

A lot of blind-stealing (and not a lot of flops) currently going on over at the five-handed Table #59. [Removed:505] just took his turn, raising to 30,000 before the flop from under the gun and thereby claiming the 23,000 chips' worth of blinds and antes.

Kinkade has edged out past the 600,000-chip mark.

Really Moto-ring

Motoyuki Mabuchi has been moving all in more times than poker players visiting In 'N' Out Burger.

He survived after Jesse Rios set him in with {Q-Clubs} {8-Clubs}. Mabuchi had only looked at the {Q-Diamonds} and peeled a card behind...the slightly underwhelming {2-Clubs}. But the board came {Q-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} for a chop.

Soon after, Russell Crane opened the button and Jesse Rios called in the small blind. Mabuchi pushed again, Crane folded and Rios called.

Rios: {K-?} {Q-?}
Mabuchi: {A-Hearts} {7-Diamonds}

Mabuchi doubled after an {8-Clubs} {7-?} {J-?} {5-?} {A-?} board.

Steven Levy Eliminated in 15th Place ($20,117)

Alexander Wilson opened with a raise to 77,000, and Steven Levy pushed all in for 284,000. Wilson thought a bit, then made the call.

Levy showed {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, and couldn't have been pleased to see Wilson's {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}. The {2-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop brought some hope to Levy in the form of a flush draw. And the {6-Hearts} on the turn brought still more, giving Levy the open-ender, too. The river brought the {2-Clubs}, and Levy is out in 15th place.

Wilson is up to 765,000.

The Life of Brian

Is pretty good at the moment.

Brian Meinders just doubled up again, this time through Alexander Wilson. In this one, Meinders raised to 25,000 from under the gun, Wilson reraised to 70,000 from the small blind, Meinders pushed all in, and Wilson called.

Wilson turned over {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Meinders {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. Again, Meinders was taking overcards against a pocket pair, and again the flop was kind to him -- {7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{J-Spades} -- although Wilson had straight outs now, too, to come back. The turn was the {8-Clubs} and the river the {4-Clubs}, and Meinders is back up to 490,000. Wilson slips to 245,000.

Doing the Double Up

A couple of double-ups for you.

First, at Table #61 Nikolai Yakovenko responded to Russell Crane's big flop bet by raising all in, and Crane called. The board was {Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Crane had {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}, but Yakovenko {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. The case six came on the river as well, giving Yakovenko quads and the 355,000-chip pot. Crane still has 420,000.

Then, at Table #61, Brian Meinders pushed all in for 99,000 from the cutoff, Brock Parker reraised from the small blind, and James Bord got out of the way. Parker showed {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Meinders {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. The board came {A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, and Meinders is now at 210,000. Parker is still over a million with 1.015 million.

Brian's Stack Meanders

Brian Meinders is down to a short stack after he raised to 25,000 and called Alexander Wilson's push for 200,000 more.

Wilson flipped {8-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} and Meinders showed {A-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} and we were off to the races as the board came {5-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {3-Clubs}.
