A Blair-ing Mistake

The cut-off raises to 6,000 and Blair Hinkle calls in the big blind.

The flop is {2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, and Hinkle check-calls a bet of 10,000.

On the {3-Diamonds} river, Hinkle leads for 15,000 and the cut-off raises to 45,500. Hinkle tanks before moving all-in for about 100,000 more or so.

The cut-off looks pained, but makes the call with {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Hinkle had looked nervous after the call but sees his {K-Spades}{10-Hearts} is ahead. The river is the {K-Diamonds} for two pair and the bracelet winner from last year is over the 300,000 mark.

Hate to Break It You, But...

Men "the Master" Nguyen is one of our 56 players still remaining in the field. He's telling us this marks his 62nd WSOP cash. "Just one behind the Poker Brat!" says Nguyen, referring to his effort to catch Phil Hellmuth's all-time WSOP cash record.

Actually, Nguyen is probably a bit further behind than that, as Hellmuth recorded his 70th WSOP cash over the weekend.

Stella Gets Her Groove Back

Stella Su
Stella Su
Stella Su has been mostly quiet this afternoon, playing a relatively tight game. She just found herself in a big pot, however, with her tournament life on the line.

With about 18,000 in the middle and facing a bet of 7,000 to call, Stella Su looked at the board -- {4-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} -- and decided to push all in for her last 30,000. Her opponent called, showing K-Q to Su's {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

The river was the {9-Spades} and after slipping back a bit Su is now back up to 90,000.

Lindgren Continues Climb

Erick Lindgren just doubled up yet again, this time taking pocket kings against pocket aces. The flop came eight-high, but a king turned, and after being down to fumes earlier this afternoon, Lindgren now has 135,000 chips' worth of fuel with which to motor.

I Zink, Therefore I Am

Daniel Zink is approaching the 200,000 mark right now. The small blind made a raise to 6,100, but was quickly slapped down by Zink's push to force a decision.

He's clearly zoaring, not zinking.

Online Wars

It's all very interesting at table Orange 61 with ActionJeff, Shaun Deeb and Brock 'tsoprano' Parker all sitting in a row as the six seat is empty.

Any time I walk past that area, it tends to be the former two in a hand and although most of the ones I've seen have had the pot shipped to Deeb, ActionJeff's stack has certainly been growing.

The last hand saw Garza check-raise Deeb's 10,500 bet on a {Q-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {4-Clubs} board to 27,000, resulting in an instant pass from the latter.
