Rios Doubles Through Serock

Joe Serock opened with a raise to 7,000 from the button, and Jesse Rios called from the small blind. The flop came {Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades}. Rios checked, Serock bet 12,000, and Rios called. The turn was the {10-Diamonds}. Rios again checked, Serock bet 70,000, Rios check-raised all in for about 50,000 more, and Serock called.

Rios showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for top pair, and Serock ace-king. The turn was the {5-Diamonds}, and Rios now has 260,000. Serock falls to 130,000.

Brock Ends Jeff's Action

Brock Parker
Brock Parker
Brock "t soprano" Parker opened with a raise from middle position, and "Action" Jeff Garza reraised from the small blind. Parker reraised again, Garza pushed all in for about 160,000, and Parker called.

Garza showed {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and Parker {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. A king flopped -- {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} -- and Garza was in dire straits. The turn was the {J-Diamonds}, giving Garza a straight possibility, but the river was the {4-Spades} and Garza is out.

Parker is our new chip leader with 680,000.

I Still Like You, Anyway

A fortunate river card just gave Lennart Konst a huge double up, carrying his stack up past 170,000.

All of the money went in on the turn with the board showing {6-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{J-Hearts}. Konst had {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}, but Wade Woelful had {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for two pair. Luckily for Konst, the river brought the {A-Diamonds} and he not only stays alive, but has a nice stack.

"You guys like poker?" said Woelful with a grin to the rest of the table afterwards. "I like poker," he added facetiously.

After being crippled in that hand, Woelful was out soon thereafter.

Shorn Deeb

Shaun Deeb has been knocked out of the tournament by Brock Parker. I didn't see the exact bet amounts but it looked like Deeb had 4-bet all in with {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} against Parker's {Q-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} with the board coming {4-Spades} {7-Clubs} {2-Spades} {3-Spades} {4-Diamonds}.

Only moments before the hand, the general discussion was that Parker was running quite well live, he had literally just eliminated Adam Croffut a couple of hands before with {6-?} {6-?} making a set. It seems all the momentum is with the new bracelet winner.
