Schultz Out; Forty Remain

Andrew Schultz was just knocked out in 41st place. He was all in with A-8 against Rory Duncan's pocket tens, and when the board came A-Q-J-K-x, that king on the turn meant Schultz had been run over by Broadway.

Schultz nets $9,186 for his finish.

Rory-ing Success

Rory Duncan moves in from the button and Andy Schultz moves in behind. Howard Lederer folds {7-Clubs} {4-Clubs} in the big blind.

Duncan: {A-Spades} {4-Hearts}
Schultz: {K-Clubs} {Q-Spades}

The board is {6-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {A-Clubs} (Lederer looks a little rueful) {A-Hearts}

Duncan is up to six figures and 100,000. Schultz is in real trouble.

Recent Eliminations (43rd-48th)

Each of these players takes home $8,253:

43rd -- Tomislav Gusic
44th -- Matthew Wood
45th -- Josh Mammon
46th -- Mike Gottman
47th -- Jason Pecht
48th -- Jeff Garza

The remaining 42 have been resituated around seven tables.

Three More out, 42 Remain

Josh Mammon was just eliminated in 45th place.

Then Matthew Wood pushed all in for his last 50,000 from the cutoff, and Stella Su made the call from the big blind. Su showed pocket jacks, and Wood turned over a pair of nines. The board came A-K-3-6-10, and Su's jacks held. Wood is out in 44th place, and Su now is up to 140,000.

Soon after Tomislav Gusic hit the rail in 43rd.

Ivar Big 'Un

Meinders' Meandering Stack.
Meinders' Meandering Stack.
Alex Ivarsson has just doubled through Brian Meinders. Ivarsson raised the small blind and Meinders made the call.

The flop was {K-?} {J-?} X and both players checked. On the {J-?} turn, Ivarsson bet, Meinders raised and Ivarsson reraised, Meinders now moved all in and the Scandinavian made the call with {A-?} {J-?} only to find Meinders holding just {9-?} {6-?} for absolutely nothing.

Ivarsson doubles up to about 350,000 while Meinders drops to about the same.

Levy Levels with Levi

We caught up with this one as the chips were being moved from Yariv Levi's stack over to Steven Levy's. Levi had {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} before him, Levy {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}. And the board read {3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{A-Clubs}.

Both players are nearly even at the moment -- Levy has 370,000, and Levi 360,000.

Both are in the top five, chip-wise, trailing James Sudworth (490,000), Brian Meinders (620,000), and leader Brock Parker (680,000).

Standstill

The Amazon room has pretty much come to a standstill for the last 30 seconds of the Lakers/Magic game.

Quieter than a library, apart from some riffling of chips.

Lederering Up

With 16,000 in the pot already, Howard Lederer check-raised all in on a {3-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {5-Clubs} board against a 10,000 bet from Joe Serock.

Serock mucked and the Professor is back up to 80,000.
