Clark Hamagami Doubles through Kirill Gerasimov

Tens no good
Tens no good
A short-stacked Clark Hamagami open-shoved for 90,000 from the button and Kirill Gerasimov looked him up from the big blind, calling off more than half his remaining stack. It was a race situation, Hamagami's {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} up against Gerasimov's pocket tens. A king hit the flop for Hamagami and he doubled to 205,000 while Gerasimov was left with only 71,000.

Another T.J. Sighting

Though he didn't buy in to the event, T.J. Cloutier spent part of yesterday periodically wandering around the tournament area, chatting up players at different tables. He's at it again today, going table to table and checking on different players' chip stacks.

After David "WhooooKidd" Baker limped from middle position, Humberto Brenes raised to 26,000 behind, then Phil Ivey reraised by shoving his last 84,000 all in. Sorel Mizzi then kicked it up to 150,000 from the small blind, pushing both Baker and Brenes out.

Mizzi {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Ivey {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

We had ourselves a race situation, Vince.

The community cards came {J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}, and Ivey is out. Mizzi is now up to 760,000.
