Kelly Doubles, Dewitt Crippled

Dewitt crippled
Dewitt crippled
John-Paul Kelly opened to 40,000 on the button before Jason Dewitt made it 130,000 to go from the big blind.

Kelly made the call and when the {9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop was checked to him, he fired 150,000 at Dewitt. Dewitt made the call before checking the {2-Spades} on the turn to Kelly to see him announce a bet of 450,000.

Kelly pushed in ten stacks of yellow 1,000-denomination and two and a half stacks of orange 5,000-denomination chips into the pot, only to see Dewitt announce all in. Kelly nodded his head and called and the cards were tabled.

Dewitt: {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Kelly: {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The {A-Diamonds} on the river would see Kelly double through to 1,750,000 in chips as Dewitt was left crippled with only 70,000 in chips.

Walk It Out

First Jason Dewitt got one, then John-Paul Kelly did . . . it's all about the walk in the big blind at this final table.

Jason Dewitt opened from the small blind to 52,000 with John-Paul Kelly calling out of the big blind.

The flop fell down {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Dewitt fired with a bet of 51,000; which was called by Kelly to see the {7-Clubs} land on the turn.

Dewitt checked to Kelly, who fired 105,000 into the pot. With the action on Dewitt he announced, "I raise the pot" as he splashed the pot with the 105,000 in chips.

Kelly called the additional 415,000 and the cards were tabled.

Dewitt: {4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Kelly: {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Drawing to a double-gutshot straight-draw and any club the crowd would erupt when the dealer slowly peeled the {6-Clubs} on the river to give Dewitt a straight flush and a double up to 1,014,000 in chips as Kelly dropped to 802,000.

Carlston Falling Victim To The Three Bet

As earlier reported, Kyle Carlston was using the three bet very effectively in previous levels, however, he has now been victimized by his own favorite move.

John-Paul Kelly has reraised him twice in the past few hands. In the latest, Carlston raised 50,000 from the button and folded after a 140,000 reraise from Kelly.
