Marc Tschirch in action
Marc Tschirch in action
Jason Dewitt limped in and both John-Paul Kelly and Marc Tschirch came along for the ride in the blinds.

Tschirch lead out for 25,000 on the {K-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} board and Dewitt called before Kelly mucked.

The turn landed the {4-Hearts} and Dewitt again called a bet from Tschirch; this time for 65,000.

When the river fell the {9-Diamonds} Tschirch carefully counted out an amount of chips and slid them into the middle; totalling a bet of 165,000.

Dewitt ummed and ahhed for a while before flicking his cards into the muck as he slipped to 400,000 while Tschirch climbed to over 750,000 and change.

Aaron Virchis eliminated in 5th place
With the action folding round to John-Paul Kelly in the small blind, he min-raised to 32,000 with Aaron Virchis making the call.

Kelly casually tossed out two green 25,000-denomination chips to effectively put Virchis all in on the flop of {10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

Virchis looked at his now 43,000-chip stack and decided to make the call for his tournament life.

Virchis: {K-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Kelly: {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

Needing to hit a King or Eight to stay alive, the turn and river of the {J-Clubs} and {A-Hearts} would see Virchis hit the rail in 5th place for a payday of $40,048.

Ignore The Flop . . . It's All About The Three-Bet

With play being underway for just over 20-minutes we have seen a minimal amount of flops.

However all the players are starting to get very aggressive with three-bets and four-bets occurring nearly every hand.

Kyle Carlston has been the main advocate three-betting Marc Tschirch's 40,000-chip open to 125,000. Carlston then opened to 40,000 on the button, only to have John-Paul Kelly three-bet him to 100,000.

Carlston was having none of it, announcing pot to force an muck from Kelly.

Following his aggressive run, Carlston is now up to 420,000 in chips.
