Counterfeited

On a board reading {J-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}, Roland de Wolfe fired a bet of 24,000. Armando Ruiz II called and then Matt Lefkowitz called.

"Wow!" exclaimed de Wolfe.

The river was the {J-Hearts} and de Wolfe sat with his hands over his eyes. Finally, he looked and saw what the river brought. He then checked and Ruiz checked as well. Lefkowitz checked also.

"I got counterfeited on the river," said de Wolfe.

"Ace king," said Ruiz before tabling {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {3-Clubs}.

The other two players mucked and Ruiz scooped the pot.

Bell Tolls For Lisandro?

Jeff Lisandro raised the pot in early position and Chris Bell reraised all in.

Lisandro quickly called with {A-Spades} {A-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} saying as he saw Bell's {A-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {3-Spades}, "We need them high and we need them clubby!"

The board came {8-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {K-Hearts} and Bell made the nuts both ways to double up and leave Lisandro really short.

Bloch Chipping Up

Andy Bloch raised to 15,000 from the hijack seat and Scott Clements called from the small blind. The flop came down {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {7-Hearts} and Clements check-called a bet of 35,000 from Bloch.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and Clements checked again. This time Bloch fired about three times his previous amount with a bet of 92,000 and was all in. Clements took a moment and then mucked.

Well...

Once the bubble burst, you might have expected a deluge of action, replete with exits all over the shop.

Indeed, you might have expected that.

And you would have been wrong, very wrong. Nothing has really happened in the last 15 minutes or so, it's all been very slow.

Lellouche Survives Huge Scare

A huge pot got played out between Brett Richey and Antony Lellouche.

The board was read {10-Spades} {5-Spades} {5-Hearts} and Lellouche bet 10,000. Richey raised to 35,000 and Lellouche made it 55,000. This raising didn't stop and quickly they were all in.

Lellouche showed {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {Q-Spades}, but Richey showed a crushing {10-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {4-Spades} for a boat. Lellouche needed the {5-Diamonds} to scoop. The turn was the {6-Spades} and now Lellouche had the nut low draw. The river was the {8-Spades}, and Lellouche managed to salvage half the pot from somewhere.
