Appleman Scoops

Kirill Rabtsov raised to 10,000 from middle position. Mickey Appleman reraised and was all in for 34,000 total on the button. Rabtsov made the call. Appleman held {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {6-Hearts} {5-Spades} and Rabtsov held {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {J-Clubs} {9-Hearts}.

The board ran out {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} to give the seasoned professional Appleman a full house and the winning hand.

Almost Out-Witted

Chip leader at the start of the day, JD Newitt is down to his last couple of thousand after he was all-in with {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} on a {A-Hearts} {7-Spades} {5-Spades} board. Robert Cambell went up against him with {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {2-Clubs}. It might have been a golf bag, but Cambell was freerolling the low. The turn {2-Hearts} put Campbell ahead in both with two pair and a live four and the river made no difference, another {2-Spades} completing Campbell's scoop of the pot.

Ivey Comes Then Goes

Phil Ivey came running out of one of the doors along the back wall and made it to his seat just in time to grab his cards. "I wanna watch this," said Andy Black from one table over as he stood up to see if Ivey would play the hand or not.

He mucked his first hand back, but on the second hand, Ivey put in a raise to 11,000 from under the gun. Stewart Yancik then reraised to 36,000 and was all in while everyone in the room began to surround Ivey's table knowing this could be some great action.

It folded around to Senovio Ramirez III and he fired in another reraise for pot. Ivey shifted his cards to the side and then slid his entire stack into the middle to make the call all in. The crowd grew around the table as the cards were exposed.

Showdown
Ramirez: {A-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {4-Diamonds}
Ivey: {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {5-Spades}
Yancik: {A-Hearts} {K-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}

The flop came down {5-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {2-Hearts} and Yancik clapped his hands together as he flopped the wheel. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and the river the {9-Diamonds}. Yancik scooped the entire main pot, but there was still a side pot between Ivey and Ramirez.

"What happens with that?" said Ivey as he pointed to the side pot. "He scoops me, too, I'm out," he continued as he got up from his chair.

Ramirez scooped the side pot from Ivey to bust him. As quickly as he came, he was back out the same door he entered and on his way back to try and capture his second bracelet of the Series.

Extra Slow...

It's really slowed down here now, not many pots are seeing much action meaning there's little to report over the last 10 minutes or so.

Reduced to Ashes

Ashes For Ashby...
Ashes For Ashby...
Richard Ashby has been knocked out after he saw a {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} flop holding {A-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {5-Spades} {4-Clubs} against Kirill Rabtsov's {7-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {2-Spades}. Both players had cards to give them a scoop, but the Russian hit the {7-Spades} turn and then avoided redraws on the {10-Spades} river.
