Kenny Tran opened the pot with a raise to 7,600. Evan Roberts pounded a big stack of pink chips into the middle of the table, enough to cover his opponent. After some deliberation, Tran made the call for his last ~30,000, putting his tournament life in jeopardy.

The board was a big dry desert for Tran, running out . Roberts' eights full was the winner, and he has advanced to tomorrow's Round of 64. He did it in fine fashion too, knocking off Alexander Kostritsyn in the first round and the defending champion in the second round.
We'll have a new champion this year, that much is certain now.
From the button, James D'Ambrosio raised to 5,2000 and Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier three bet to 14,400. D'Ambrosio moved all in for 47,500 and Elky called.

Claudio Rinaldi is the latest victim of this round. We're not sure who beat him, because there is a repeat name on the seat draw from Harrah's, but we should have that info shortly. In any event, "Swissy" is out.
On the button, Layne Flack raised it up to 8,700. Jamin Stokes reraised all in for 43,000, and Flack made the call.
