Brit Blocking

Andrew "tufat" Teng was involved in a blind battle with the turn out by time we caught up to it giving us a {3-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {A-Spades} board. His 300 bet from the SB was bumped up to 1,000 by the BB. Teng called and then led out for just 150 on the {A-Clubs} river. The bet seemed to confuse the BB who sat there trying to work it out but eventually called. Teng tabled {J-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} which was good for the pot as the BB mucked.

Rizen up the Counts

Eric "Rizen" Lynch is up to 9,000 after an opponent gifted his stack to him. Lynch raised from UTG and this unnamed opponent called from the cut-off.

The flop came {8-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} and when Lynch led out for 8,00 his opponent moved all in for 4,300. Lynch made the call with {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs} and was ahead of his opponent's {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}. The turn came {Q-Clubs} and river {5-Clubs} to give the pot to Lynch.

Four High Wins Pot!

British poker player Karl Fenton just stopped me to tell me he just won a pot with four high!

It was folded around to the SB who called before Fenton checked his option. The flop came {3-?} {6-?} {K-?} and Fenton floated one after the SB bet. The turn saw Fenton make a move as he raised the SB's bet from 425 up to 1,150. The call was made though so the river came {10-?}.

Both players seemed to give up on it though as it was checked through. "You got it," said the SB and threw his cards in to the muck. Fenton then had to turn his cards up to claim the pot and he did so with {4-?} {2-?} for four high. The SB said he folded {9-?} X.

Pretty sick way to learn a lesson.

Thorson No More

Swedish poker star William Thorson has been eliminated by Bryan "bparis" Paris. Thorson open raised from the the high-jack and was called in two spots including Paris before the flop fell {A-?} {10-?} {7-?}. It was checked to Thorson, who continued his aggression with a 500 bet only to be raised to 1,600 by Paris after the other player folded. Thorson called to see the {9-?} turn where he shoved for 2,600 when checked to him.

Paris called with {A-?} {10-?} for top two-pair and saw that Thorson had caught his own two-pair with {A-?} {9-?}. The river bricked and Thorson leaves for his seat to be filled by another soul.

Not So Seif Right Now

Needs a spin up
Needs a spin up
We had a four way limped pot that saw a {6-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {8-Hearts} flop. A player in MP bets 350 and the three other players, including Jeff Madsen and Mark Seif, call. The {8-Spades} turn was checked around and the river came {4-Spades}. The BB player bet 1,500 and only found a caller in Seif before he opened {6-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} for a boat. Seif mucked and is down to 1,000 as a result.
